Field of Light, by Bruce Munro, made its debut appearance in Scotland this month.
Best known for immersive large-scale light-based installations inspired largely by his interest in shared human experience, his interactive optical fibre installation has been set up in Edinburgh’s St Andrew’s Square and will remain there until 27th April 2014.
Members of the public are invited to take a stroll through St Andrew Square and take a look at familiar surroundings in a new light. Literally as it turns out, as the installation changes colour as you walk around.
Speaking of the Edinburgh installation, Munro said: “The Field of Light is a bit of a chameleon in that the space changes the work more than the work changes the space. This is an added bonus for me because each new iteration we create delivers new surprises and gives one the distinct feeling that there is life force pulsating within the installation”.
So, if you fancy an entertaining diversion with your usual evening stroll, pop down to St Andrew’s Square before 27th April.
