Carbon Negative Building Block

Who doesn’t love talking about bricks! Check out that bad boy above, the Carbon Buster. Lignacite have developed a carbon negative building block. This is a fantastic step forward for the construction industry in creating zero-carbon homes.

The brick is made from 50% recycled material, it consists of an amalgam of cement, sand and water, the brick is also made up of wood particles that traps carbon dioxide and stores the gas in the block itself – impressive! Not only that the brick provides greater noise absorption.

lignacite state that the brick is can be used for most building projects so you could see domestic and small-medium project using this material. I definitely would be stroking a wall made of this stuff!

A future where buildings act more like trees or bio-buildings that actually aid the environment that we live in definitely sounds like a green future.
