The Strawberry Hill Collection by Gemma Land Print Designer.

Print and Textile designer Gemma Land has been building on her career since graduating from the London College of Communication and introducing her first collection the ‘Bourgeois Utopias’, the first collection was inspired by and featured beautiful black and white images of English suburban houses, Bourgeois Utopias was a fantastic collection and was very well received by Vogue, Dazed Digital, AnOther and the Huffungton Post.  The Strawberry Hill Collection is one of Land’s more recent creations and they look fantastic!

 The Strawberry Hill Collection.

The Strawberry Hill Collection is a fantastic series of monochrome and colour prints of London’s much loved Strawberry Hill House.  Strawberry Hill House caught Land’s attention as it was the former home of Horace Walpole who was an MP, art collector and one of the original Gothic Novelists.  The aesthetic created by Land is a combination of romance with Gothic undertones and shock prevailing imagery.  Land’s unique style is formed through a variety of techniques, skills and inspirations.  Thankfully…Land’s designs are available through her online shop which can be accessed from her site.

Land’s fantastic creations are stunning with their monochrome beauty, detailed architectural inspired patterns and carefully portrayed imagery.  The inspiration from Strawberry Hill and Gothic elements can be seen throughout the collection.
